Review:
I don't agree with everything stated in this book and especially, I would be very careful about this approach, when it comes to mentality, because the entire book is about being successfull, possibly rich and thinking about improving YOURself.
To me this seems to much selfcentered, if intetional or not.
BUT if applied with thought, I also think, that this book could really help very many people and improve their quality of life.
To be honest, I actually live a similar life style as that described in the book anyways.
I love being up early, befor 6 a.m. to get a head start. Then I give myself some time to wake up and usually read a bit. Afterwards I do my sports and stretches. When I have showered, I feel so awake and am ready to start the day. This was one reason, why I took me so long to really read that book, because I thought, I don't need a book to tell me to get up early. I'm doing that anyways.
But recently, I've been struggling with my motivation. On some days getting out of bed when my alarm went off, was SO hard and getting started with my workout took much willpower. For those problems, the book was a real inspiration.
I started with positive affirmations now. Trying to be positive and motivated, when going to sleep, which helps with waking up more motivated. Also I now include meditaion in my morning routine. I haven't really got that far, stopping your thoughts and emptying your mind is not easy, but it is supposed to help against stress and I will give it a try for some time.
Furthermore, the writing style of Hal Elrod is so upbeat and optimistic, that by reading some of his affirmations in the morning helped my motivation aswell.
I want to live the best life I can, also to be able to help others, so I will try some of those methods and give myself a chance to grow!
